What if I’m nervous about my procedure?

Feeling anxious about advanced restorative procedures such as oral surgery is completely normal. At Crow Family Dental, we strive to ensure our patients have a comfortable and stress-free experience during their visit. We provide two great options for dental sedation - nitrous oxide and oral conscious sedation - to help alleviate anxiety and make dental appointments more enjoyable. If you are interested in using our safe and effective sedation services, please don't hesitate to let us know. We are here to help.

What can I eat after my oral surgery?

Before your surgery, be sure to have a variety of soft foods available that are easy to chew or don't require chewing. Consider options such as blended soups, smoothies, scrambled eggs, yogurt, and applesauce. It's important to avoid using straws and smoking during your recovery to prevent a painful dry socket. As you continue to recover, you can slowly start introducing more solid foods into your diet, but remember to cut them into small pieces and chew with your back teeth.

Can I return to work or school after my oral surgery?

Having oral surgery is a serious procedure that requires rest and recovery for the rest of the day. We can discuss your treatment plan and advise you on how many days you should take off to recover after the surgery. It's important to avoid strenuous activities for a few days after returning to work or school to prevent any complications in the healing process. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out to our team at any time.
